No Joy In Fudville
January 20th, 2005
It’s official. Dubya has been sworn in a second time. It kind of feels like this past November 3rd . . . empty . . . depressing . . . confused. The realization that we have the same redneck running the country for four more years puzzles the mind to the red state of disbelief. Politics has never had this effect on me. Is it because I’m paying more attention to politics, or is it that we truly haven’t had such a crappy President for as long as history can remember? However, maybe we can move on now that the inauguration is over. It’s done. Look to changing the future.
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light.
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout,
But there is no joy in Fudville GÇö mighty Kerry has struck out.
