Happy 2005 / Lauren Taylor Band

Ah yes, the new year is here. I was somewhat sorry to see ‘04 go. It was ab-fab. ‘05 will have a lot to live up to, and it’s already off to a slammin’ start! Last Saturday, during the first full weekend of 2005, haps were happnin’ down at the 169 Bar with a bompin’ and feet stompin’ performance by The Lauren Taylor Band. It was a who’s who in the coolest social scene of ‘05 NYC (sorry Puffy), including Lauren herself, who serenaded the crowd with ear-pleasing vocal and guitar styles. Then Michi entertained most of the bar’s patrons at her abode in China Town. Attendees were required to put on a pair of her shades, grab a beer and boogie with Pablo. However, the night wasn’t complete until a stop was made at the local VFW. Talk about atmosphere!
