Bike Build: The Frame

Recently I decided to undertake the task of building a fixed gear bicycle, piece by piece. I live in an area that is very conducive to bike culture. There are many bike paths and bike lanes to take advantage of, so I want to add to my bike collection and learn more about building, maintaining and working with bikes. The foundation for this new bike is the frame. I acquired one, a steel Schwinn World frame from the 1980’s, via eBay for $76 (plus shipping). It came with the bottom bracket, fork and headset. The frame arrived today! Let the build begin.
